📍Bondi Beach, NSW

Desperately needing some sun after my final Fall semester in Berkeley, I spent the holiday season tooting around Australia. My first (and favorite) stop was Sydney; the people here were so genuine and the city was simply stunning. From wandering around Taronga Zoo and touring the Sydney Opera House, to walking the Bondi Beach boardwalk and awe-ing at NYE fireworks, it’s safe to say I played tourist in NSW for long enough. After the holiday, I road tripped up to Gold Coast, QLD. Several outstanding stops along the way included Port Macquarie, Myall Lakes National Park, Yamba, and Byron Bay. While I enjoyed the beach-front metropolis of Gold Coast, I spent most of my time in QLD birdwatching, trekking through magnificent rainforests, and chasing waterfalls. On my (reluctant) way back to the states, I was lucky enough to catch a few matches at the Australian Open and gather a few souvenirs at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, VIC.
